EEA4 application

Post by Manu1992 » Mon Aug 04, 2014 8:01 pm

Hello,

I am in need to of some advice,

I have been in the country since 2006 (i was 14 years old), my mother got married to a Portuguese European and we got the EEA family member visa for 5 years. The visa will expire this October. I was wondering if i can only apply for the EEA4 28 days before my visa expires or is this a lie?

The most important question is how much do we need to prove that my stepfather has been gaining yearly for the past 5 years? He has not worked for 3 of the 5 years of our visa. Me and my mum have been working and/or studying throughout this period. Does this count in any way?

The time is running fast and i dont know what to do.

I hope someone can please help me.

Thank you so much,
Manoelle Santos.

How long has your step father been living and working in the UK before he ceased working?

Hey Obie,

He has been in the UK for 25 years always working. He is now back at work but stayed for nearly 3 years unemployed.

You are required to show 5 years continuos residence in accordance with the regulations in the UK for you to secure PR.

Provided you can prove that, you will succeed with your application.
