Can I bring in my sister to help with baby care?

Post by goodmann » Tue Aug 05, 2014 4:22 pm

I am on Tier 1 General. Presently my wife is pregnant and we have two other kids (one of whom has been confirmed to have Sickle Cell) to care for. I work long hours, sometimes on duty away from home. My wife has been really struggling caring for our kids & herself, and I definitely need extra help at home.
My wife's sister back home has volunteered/agreed to help us out here especially towards delivery time and care for new baby. What type (or class) of visa can she apply for? She is my wife's full sister.
As a Tier1General permit holder, am I eligible to invite her? I really need help with caring for my babies.

Thanks for helping out

Yes you can invite her on family visit visa you need to send following documents
1- Letter from Hospital or GP in which explain you need extra hand to care your wife and kids
2- Sponsorship declaration form
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... p-form.pdf
3- Tenancy Agreement
4- Property Inspection Report
5- Attested Copies of Passports main page and Visa
6- Last 3 months pay slips and Bank Statements. etc
and most importantly you need to send a strong Cover letter explain whole situation which you mention above

its better if sponsorship your mother or mother in law instead of sister in Law
if you apply your Sister in Law visa then she might need to produce extra documents for social ties back home as she has no intention to stay and live in United Kingdom.
Wish you best of luck
