Hi,
I am writing in sheer desperation after getting a series of confusing responses from unreliable sources. I am not an EU citizen, and belong to a south east Asian country. I visited western Europe during spring this year, and lodged an asylum application (finger prints, x-ray, original identity papers are on EURODAC). I had genuine reasons to seek protection, but had to return to my home country to save my family. I went on a regular tourist visa and came back before my visa expired. I also reported personally to the embassy in my home country upon arrival.
Now i am planning to visit another western European country in a few months. My biggest worry is will i get another Schengen visa? Or will the embassy of the visa issuing country deny me the visa even though i returned back well in time and abandoned the asylum application even before the host European country could process it. Please do let me know if i stand any chance, as i did not breach my visa validity.
