T2 dependent help

Hi,

I am holding a T2 dependent visa since my husband is working in the UK. Now I got a PHD offer from the university. I was just wondering if I have to switch my visa to T4 student visa? In that case, can I do this in the UK? Thanks a lot~

any reasons for switching to student visa when you already have tier2 dependent. If you can work freely as a tier2 dependent then why would you need a student visa for the same?
