Type of bank account for Tier 2 partner maintenance

Post by Vishy » Mon Aug 25, 2014 11:05 am

Hello,

I have been working in the UK for past one and half years under tier 2 visa and wife would like to apply for dependent visa. For showing maintenance fund,I have more than £630 in my basic bank account (current account) for over 90 days. I wonder if maintenance fund in current account is acceptable, or does it have to be in a "savings bank account"?

Thanks in advance,
Vishal

As long as the funds are in an instantly accessible account they can be used. So the answer is yes to using a current account.
