Documents For Spouse Name Change

Hi

My wife got her spouse visa on her passport and now want to change her maiden name to my name, what do i need to have in terms of changing her name and the visa detail.

I read the guidance it says that she will need a biomatric card instead of the visa tranfer on the new passport.

Question is do i have to change her name on the passport first or deed poll & marriage certificate will be sufficiant for biomatric with new details and change the passport detail after that.

please advice.

Marriage certificate is as valid as Deed Poll. Just present the certificate anywhere you wish to change the name.
Changing passport details might be a bit different from country to country,you might need to consult your embassy with that but with visa,just fill change of name form and send it,it can be changed,I don't really see the need for that though as you can change this when next she's applying.
