Hi
I am filling in on-line application form and come across Medical Treatment questions.
I had visited A&E twice in past 5 years. All due to my pre-existing cardiac condition. No treatment had been received in A&E but referred back to my GP for consultation in both occasions. The condition I have does not require any medical intervention or medications to be taken as of yet. I am only required to get just regular check-ups to monitor progression/worsening of symptoms every 24 months. For this purpose I am on register as an outpatient in one of NHS hospitals here in UK. I am also getting it checked when I am back in my home country for holidays.
I am a little confused as to what meaning the word "treatment" is used with in on-line form. I need clarification on:
1. Does visit to A&E counts as "treatment" ? No medication was given to me in A&E as by the time I get to see doctor no symptoms were observed so I was just referred back to my GP for consultation. If it is necessary do declare A&E visits than how do I enter my visits? On-line form does not allow answers for multiple occasions but only one.
2. Do I need to mention outpatient visits in NHS hospital? I do not in any way underestimate professional medical opinion received from my doctor but this is just a opinion really. My appointments last no more than half an hour to summarize the test results taken a week prior to this. I have never been admitted in ward.
I had a look on paper form and medical part is not present there at all but on-line form does have this part.
