Unmarried Partner Visa HELP PLEASE

Post by kj2885 » Wed Oct 01, 2014 12:02 am

Hi Good Day to all of you.. I have read old posts regarding unmarried partner visa but I cant find any answers to my questions.. Please if you could kindly help me as I am very desperate.

I just got here in the UK last May 29 under Tier 2 PBS, I have an ongoing 3 year contract and I wanted to petition my partner. My questions are:

1. Am I allowed to apply for his petition under the unmarried partner visa even when I have just recently resided and worked here? (4 months) I have read that I only need 90 days of maintenance requirement and I have met all the other requirements. However, it was not stated on how soon you can apply for the visa.

2. Does my partner need an IELTS or English test exam to join me here?

Please please I do hope you shed some light. Thank you all..

Have you got 24 months provable cohabitation - i.e. living together as man and wife?

Unmarried partners are uber-scrutinised so there is no wriggle-room, all needs to be above-board.

Yes we do have proofs of our relationship back in the Philippines like utility bills, joint bank accounts, insurance etc.. Would that be enough?

Thanks so much for replying wanderer :)

That's good, though the last 4 months might be an issue unless you've had plenty of F2F in between, better let others in here, I'm not sure......

F2F? face to face conversations? If yes, then we have that as well since we communicate everyday through skype and facetime. Thanks so much :)

Hi Obie, yes I have read that as well and we both have the needed funds. My main concern is if they allow applications in less than 6months of being here.. Thank you for your reply..

Provided the requirement of 319C is met, which seem to be the case, then there is no rule that prevents her from applying.

Thanks obie. And one thing my partner's visa will be expiring by april2014 and we'll be applying this month, is it safe to use the old passport since technically it's still valid from oct-april. We've renewed but the new one wont come until november. Any suggestions?
