Tier 2 ICT dependent VISA

Post by bertie » Sat Oct 18, 2014 1:39 pm

Hi Guys,
I intend to apply for Tier 2 ICT Long Term dependent visa for my wife. She is in India at the moment and I am in the UK. I have some queries and it would be really great if you could throw a light on those issues -

1) I am currently staying in a double room rented in a house share. Can I submit this rent agreement as a proof of dependent's residence in UK ? Could the single occupancy of room or legal requirements on having fixed no of occupants be a problem for VISA purpose? However, the landlord is willing to give me a No Objection letter for visa purpose. I am wondering if the single room would be deemed insufficient for me to accommodate my dependent.

2) If having a single room would be a problem, then if I rent out another room in the same house for my dependent then would it solve the problem. I will then have an rent agreement that says I rent out two rooms in the house share and would be eligible to accommodate my wife.

I would really appreciate if anyone could provide any information.

Thanks,
-B
