Annual limit on the number of Certificates of Sponsorship

Post by pei87 » Sun Nov 16, 2014 9:51 am

Hi Guys,

Sorry... Does anyone have any idea Where I can find the annual limit vacancy number of Tier 2 (General)?

A maximum of 20,700 skilled workers who can come to the UK under Tier 2 (General)..... and I would like to know whether there is any vacancy that is still available for the year from 6 April 2014 to 6 April 2015?

I couldn't find any data that indicates the current available vacancy. So I'm here to seek for help.... I will appreciate for any information.

Thank you very much in advance. :)

The limit only applies to Restricted Certificates of sponsorship, which basically applies to entry clearance applications. The limit has never been met in an individual month...

Hi Physicskate, thank you so much for your reply! :D Yes, my application/job is refered to Restricted Certificates of Sponsorship under the Tier 2 (General) category.

Sorry, So... Does it mean the limit number 20,700 is the monthly limit number?

Thanks again!

No. That is the annual limit. It is divided into 12 (monthly) limits. Each monthly limit has never been reached since the introduction of the cap some years ago...

If the quota from a particular month is not filled, it rolls over to the next month. Every April, these left over RCoS are erased and the annual quota starts over. This is not something you should worry about.
