OCI life in india???

Last week my british naturalisation application got approved and recently i am hit with family disaster in india. So i am planning move back to india permantely and going to take care the family buisness. Previously i thought, british citizenship will help on my career by working in different origins. Now things has been changed...

My family members are suggesting not to give up BC. My question is, how OCI will reflects to my future in india? What will be future for kids being a BC? So far i have no kids, but we have hope on it.
And running business being a OCI, what's are disadvantage??? How long the OCI and british passport will be valid for? Can it be renewed in india, with out back to uk? Which one i have to apply either OCI or PIO?

I guess it will take another 3 months to complete further process like oath, british passport, Surrendership & OCI. But living in uk another 3 months with out supporting my family in india,it's hardest part..

You don't necessarily need to stay in the UK for OCI. Complete first 3 steps, as you mentioned above, in the UK then apply for a long term X visa and travel to India. Visa will take few days compared to 6-10 weeks for OCI. Apply for OCI from India.

With an OCI, you'll be able to run business in India but you'll not be able to own agricultural land. You'll be treated at par with Non Resident Indians so also speak with tax experts in India for tax matters related to your business.

British Passport can be renewed from India

Your future child, if born in India, will be British by descent. The child will also have a claim to Indian citizenship if the other parent is Indian.
