Maintaining Balance

Post by alza81 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 12:50 pm

Hi,

I am getting married in march 2015. I am on a Tier 2 company sponsored visa.
I need to apply for a visa for my wife and was wondering about the balance requirement.
I have opened a foreign currecy account for her in Pakistan to maintain the balance, the account is on her name.
Is that fine or do I have to maintain the balance in my account in the UK?
A prompt reply will be much appreciated.

Regards
Ali

Either option is fine. Note that if it's in a non-GBP a/c, home office will use the current conversion rate on that day when they review the application. The rate they use for conversion is taken from site oanda.com on a daily basis.
