English Language Requirements and VAF9 appendix 5

Hello everybody,

As far as I understood from the discussions on this Forum and the guidance notes available online, using UK NARIC Statement of Comparability for Master/PhD degrees taught in English in a non-English speaking country is risky, right?

Furthermore, the VAF9 appendix 5 shows this option for a person in my situation (question 8.6):

"The points-based calculator does not show the qualification is equivalent to a United Kingdom degree but a UK NARIC
letter and/or certificate is enclosed is only available to Tier 2 (sportsperson) applicants;"

Can anyone help me understand what does this mean? Can I mark this option even considering the my application is for a Tier 2(general)?

I do not know what to do, as I already have the state of comparability and all the necessary documents. I am sure that the easiest way is to take IELTS/Pearson, but as we are approching the holidays season the dates to take the test here in Brazil are terrible.
