Applying for a spouse visa in Pakistan for UK

Post by sunlight14 » Thu Jan 01, 2015 7:32 pm

Hi
I am a British citizen and got married to someone in Pakistan. I will now be sponsoring my husband to come and live with me in the UK so he will applying for a visa from Pakistan. I have to provide evidence of the financial requirements which I am preparing.
I wanted to ask if it is better to prepare the case through a solicitor or not i.e.. is a solicitor essential in this type of visa.

Also can anyone guide me as to how the visa fee is paid which is over £800 -does my husband have to pay this when he submits his online VAf4 form or is it done after the form? Does it have to be paid online?

I have not been able to find clear info on the UKBA website therefore any advice will be useful

Thanks in advance

Hi
Thank you for that link. It looks as if the online form has to be filled in and fee paid before remainder documents are taken by my husband to the centre in Pakistan.

If you have experience of this process would you say a solicitor is essential to prepare the visa information?

Thanks
