Switch Tier2 employer -Resident Labour Market Test Required?

Post by premebe555 » Mon Jan 12, 2015 12:54 pm

Hi,

I am currently on Tier 2 - General 2nd year.

To Switch from Tier 2 General from one employer to another emplyer, does it required.,

1. Resident Labour Market Test?
2. Can I apply without resigning my current job?

There is no clear information here https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/extend-your-visa

Please advise me..

Thanks!

1. Yes, its required unless your new occupation is in the shortage list OR you'll be paid 153,500 GBP or more.

2. Yes, you can. Ideally, its recommended that you resign only once you get the new visa approved to avoid visa related hassles.

required, unless it is a shortage occupation job

yes you can once you have the new CoS. Don't resign until your new leave has been granted
