Child Benefits on Tier 2 ICT Visa

Hello all,

I am in similar situation.I am on Tier 2 ICT VISA. Due to wrong guidance from HMRC I received child tax credit and working tax credit for two weeks in 2013 but returned the amount fully realising the mistake. Also, cancelled the total claims.

Now, I am in dilemma about what should I answer about question 'Are you currently receiving or have you ever received public funds in UK?' in application form for extension of visa.

Should I write YES and put a covering letter explaining the mistake or NO because I cancelled the claims and settled total amount.

Able members please suggest me on this because it's a tricky situation.
