Help!!! How to calculate income from non-salaried employment

Post by muzammil1124 » Wed Jan 28, 2015 11:01 am

Hi All,

I want to call my family and for that I have to show £24,800.00 as the financial requirement.

I am working as a contractor through my Limited company and I am the director of the company. I am getting paid to my limited company bank account. My name is mentioned in the weekly payslip that I get from the firm.

I am earning £720 (incl VAT) per week. If I apply under Category A, I am able to show my 26 weeks of payslip which comes to £18,288 (incl VAT) and by HMRC calculation should be £36576. Will that be acceptable?

Or my second option is to pay myself a monthly salary of say £2300 for 6 month which again as per HMRC will come to £ £27600.

Please advice which of the above is acceptable and if there is any other option.

Many thanks in advance.
