British Citizenship Residence Criteria

Post by pgnzee » Tue Feb 03, 2015 10:03 pm

I have got British Citizenship on 20 Jan 2015. My wife has got an ILR on 4 April 2014. She came in the UK in 2007. I would like to apply her citizenship application now but the problem is that she was abroad Feb 2010 (5 years basis) and even Feb 2012 (3 years basis). I just wanted to ask what rule will be applied on her application?
1. Can she apply now?
2. Or she needs to apply 23 Feb as she returned back on 23-2-10 (5 years basis)
3. Or she needs to apply 27 March as she returned back on 27-3-12 (3 years basis)

I hope someone will help me on this matter.

Regards

If applying as a spouse of BC you need to have been UK resident for the last 3 years. You are allowed 270 days of absences in total for the last 3 years and no more than 90 days in the final year.
I am sometimes wrong.
