EEA Nationals resident certificate

Post by BlueWale » Wed Feb 18, 2015 7:29 pm

Hi all,

I'm hoping that you can shed light on a query I have.
I am a Spanish national and would like to apply for UK EEA Nationals resident certificate. I came to the UK in 2008 and my status between 2008 to Present (2015) has been as follows:
2008-2013 :student (but I was also a freelancer)
2013-present :full-time employed
I am wondering if I could be eligible for the UK resident certificate? the problem is that I have been living in the UK for more than 5 years but it seems that for the period which I was student (2008-2013) I need to provide "comprehensive medical insurance" which I don't have. Any advice would be appreciated.
