Tier 2 visa help

I am doing software engineering (NQF level 6). I am working as assistant manager in shell site which is running as individual business not as franchise. My owner wants to apply for my work permit and wants to hire me as a manager in his new site could you please give me any advise because the skill level is not matched or what designation he should show to apply for his license and my work permit.
