Tier 2 visa duration query

Hi

My employer is going to apply a Restricted COS for 3 years. So they gave start date - 01/06/2015 and end date 31/05/2018 (full 3 years).

But my friend has told me that the duration must be 3 years minus 14 days (To be considered as 3 year visa). If not, the visa will be considered as more than 3 years and I must to pay higher visa fee? Is this true? But I have not found any information pertaining to this.

your friend is wrong. the dates are perfect to apply for a 3 years visa
