Short/Long Term ICT Visa - Cooling off period

Post by Rakesh2008 » Fri May 01, 2015 8:45 pm

Hi, I was in UK on Long Term ICT Staff and came back to India in June'2014. Is there any cooling-off period now before I can apply for Short/Long Term ICT Visa from India? and if yes how many months cooling-off period is there?

I heard that there is some change in cooling-off period as per new rules for ICT introduced in April'2015.

Thanking you in advance.

Rakesh

ICT - 24 months rule

Post by Rakesh2008 » Fri May 01, 2015 9:02 pm

Hi, This is regarding the cooling-off period.
I was in UK on Long Term ICT Staff and came back to India in June'2014. I was in UK for 25 months before I came back to India. My company in India says that if I want to apply for either Short/Long term ICT I have to have 15 months cooling off period so that my 24 months clock will restart then. I have seen some posts in here which says only 12 months cooling-off period is required before we apply for ICT visa again, Please help me on this?

Thanks

In your case, the cool-off will be 12 months from the date you returned to your home country.
