Visa rejection, situation as a careworker

Post by Ryan-Brown » Tue May 12, 2015 5:11 pm

Hi there, My fiance and daughter are in Australia, her visa was rejected two days ago. I'm a full-time carer so we were told we didn't have to meet the financial requirement. However it was rejected on the grounds that I still need to be on £113 a week, whereas I'm on £91. We have applied for a British passport for our daughter, so she should be more or less okay, but we're not sure what to do from here. I'm able to work for an extra £20 a week but it would still be just under the mark.

We were also told that there wasn't enough proof of engagement. Even though we gave them plenty of messages, a year and a half's worth of photo's, and a copy of the email confirming our upcoming wedding date in the UK. I'm rather stumped as to what could be more proof.

Just really hoping someone can help us out a bit. Thank you for your time.

I would advise you to type out the exact refusal you received to ensure you get the right advice.
