Failure to complete medical visit reapplying for French Visa

Hello everyone,

I was hoping you could help me out. I studied abroad in France and had a long stay student visa. However, I never got it validated by having the required OFII medical visit. I never received papers for an appointment and honestly forgot about it until I was offered a job in France and was reading the steps required for reapplying for long-stay visas. I'm worried about what might happen at the consulate if they see that I was in France on an invalid visa for a year.

Any advice?
