Is new CoS required for Tier 2 extension?

Hey everyone,

I need to extend my Tier 2 (General) soon. My tier 2 says "RESTRICTED WORK" on it so I believe I have a restricted Certificate of Sponsorship.

Do I need a new Certificate of Sponsorship before I can apply for an extension of my Tier 2 (General)? And if so, could someone point me to some documentation which states this as I haven't been able to find this on the Tier 2 Policy Guidance

For Tier 2 extension (in-country) with the same employer & in the same role, you need a new unrestricted CoS. All the info is indeed there in the T2 guidance.
