Query for inter compnay transfer visa

Need help. I am getting an internal trnasfer to London. It will be inter company transfer visa. What I heard is we can not stay there for long term. Is there a way to convert to general visa? Or I can change Job on inter company transfer visa ?

You can stay for a max of 5 years 1 month. No you cannot change to a Tier 2 general without serving a 12 month cooing off period in your home country. And no, Tier 2 ICT does not lead to ILR. Have a read of a few other threads. This is well-covered territory.
