pakistan visa in receipt of DLA

Post by badmaash » Thu May 28, 2015 5:42 pm

i hope everybody is in good health and that all people who have applied from pakistaan and elsewhere have been successful in their application process

i am now in pakistaan mirpur and got married to my lovely wife on 25/05/15 (may allah bless our marriage)
a little about myself

i am rin receipt of disabilty living allowance on higher rate care and lower rate mobility, i also get esa with sip premium, also child tax credit and child benefit full council tax exemption and full housing benefit. i have a 2 bedroom house which is rented from leicester city council. i have one child who lives with me who is also a british citizen, i am unable to work because i suffer from hearing voices and have odd with severe anxiety disorder

i have brought all the documents with me including my divorce certificates from my last marriage (as advised by batleykhan in his post about marriage in pakistaan

from what i know i don't need to meet the financial requirement and only need to meet adequate maintenance as advised by my mental health advocate

i would like to know how long will it take for my visa, as due to my illness i am very dependant on my wife in regards to my daily living

also i know that the visa fees are 956 how do i need for the nhs surcharge

i hope someone can give me some good advise.

i have read that those in receipt of disabilty living allowance are given priority in their application is this true ?
will

No you'll not be given priority. Look at the UKVI current settlement waiting times - https://visa-processingtimes.homeoffice.gov.uk

I assume you mean SDP on ESA, which will cease when your spouse moves in with you.

6 months bank statements, with the most recent being no older than 28 days before the date the application is submitted. See below for evidence of entitlement and payment of benefits (from the Immigration Rules)
a) Official documentation from the Department for Work and Pensions or Veterans Agency
confirming the current entitlement and the amount currently received.
b) At least one personal bank statement in the 12 month period prior to the date of application
showing payment of the amount of the benefit or allowance to which the person is currently
entitled into their account.

Your wife will have to pay the NHS surcharge of £600 in addition to the visa fee.

6 months, At least one personal bank statement must show payment of benefit and this can be within the last 12 month period.
