Ireland eea route

My wife got her irish visa eu directive acc/join eu spouse. She will arrive tomorrow at dublin airport. I have booked a hotel for 4 days and after that im travelling to letterkenny to confirm a rental agreement. What can immigration ask in dublin. And what should the answers be.
i plan to work in northern ireland derry which is just 30min drive from letterkenny. So should we mention that or no need. And also im earning enough to fulfil cat b for spouse visa uk after 6 more weeks..should i apply for that route or can i apply via surinder singh route as im gonna be resident in ireland being self sufficient as ill be working in derry. Or is that more complex?
