non-swiss, non-eu with permit B in switzerland+job in france

Hi all,

Im a non-eu . non-switz national married to a swiss, a kid and with a residency permit B.

I just got a job with a university in the south of france, i will have a contract for one year.

My partner will remain in switzerland and i will come and go every weekend for the first 3 months til we decide whether she joins me or we keep our address in switzerland.

now the question, is there a legal figure or permit for working in france while keeping my residency in switzerland? i guess thats oil and water...

my guess is i can keep both as long as we have a valid address in switzerland...?

since we dont live in the border i cannot apply to a frontier permit and also as said above im not a swiss national.

what sort of permit will the french will likely give me? Is certain that the university will state i will be appointed for a one year contract.

thanks for any comments or advice on how to make the most out of this mess.
