Spouse has left marital home

Hello to all.
My husband and I have been together for 9 years through a long distance relationship. We married in 2012 and we have a 5 year old British child I am also British. He came here to the UK on a spouse visa in September 2014 his visa was granted in July 2014.
Our relationship has broken down and he has moved out. Although he contacts me by phone I am not aware of where he his currently staying.
I would like to know what will happen to his visa if I contact UKBA to advise them of this. Also if he could use our daughter in some way to remain in the UK.
