Changing from Tier 2 ICT Long Term to Tier 2 General

Hi

I am in the UK on a Tier 2 ICT LONG-TERM STAFF MIGRANT, UP TO 3 YEARS visa. The visa start date is February 2015 and I would like to explore the option of changing companies (i.e I will need a new sponsor).

Based on the above switching a sponsor would not be possible.

If this is not possible. Is there a way of skipping/shortening the cooling off period other than earning >155k ?
