spouse visa query

hello i am new to this forum but i have come across a Palliative patient who was originally in the UK on a spouse visa for last 3yrs, patient and wife now separated. Patient has one job he is receiving payment for and 2 other jobs that do not pay him. The patient is struggling financially and unsure about his future is there anything he needs to or inform?
