I live in the United Kingdom. My father is a citizen of the United Kingdom, and my mother is a citizen of the Netherlands. I was born in the United Kingdom in 1989. My parents were married when I was born. I hold a United Kingdom passport through birth. I have never resided in the Netherlands.
I would like to hold a passport from the Netherlands in addition to my United Kingdom passport.
From the information above, do I already have Dutch nationality? If so, what would I need to bring to prove this when making a first time application for a Dutch passport? Also, am I right in thinking that because I have lived in the UK since birth, I would not need to give up my UK nationality and passport when applying for a Dutch passport?
Thanks!
