I'm very new to this forum, and indeed this very subject, so still very green.
My situation is this:
I have met someone online and we began on online relationship. We Skype almost daily and are in almost constant contact. We have yet to meet in person, but this is planned for October later this year. We are meeting in Turkey, because I am unable to visit her in her own country (Syria) due to current troubles.
If all goes well when we meet, we plan to marry and live here. I'm sooo happy about this!
I've been doing research however, and bringing her over on a fiancee visa would be problematic, due to the amount of physical time required to spend together.
Another option we are looking into would be marrying abroad Turkey again), then her coming back to the UK with me. Please understand we are not trying to circumvent procedures, but simply take the path of least resistance, and only then we are simply looking into what options are available.
I was wondering if anyone else had done something similar, and what lessons had been learned from it?
We are well aware of the financial requirements, as well as SELT testing for her (neither of which pose a problem).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to ask anything in order to help understand the full picture.
Thanks in advance!
