Child benefits and ILR status

Post by haseebkhan79 » Mon Jul 20, 2015 4:10 pm

Hi All

My wife got ILR on long residency basis in Jan-15 and I am on her depended visa ( FLRM), We have one daughter ,are we allow to apply for child benefits and if it is so does it affect on my wife nationality application which is due on jan-16 and also does it affect on my case because this is my first FLRM and I need to apply for extension after 2.5 years. I am already a victim of change of rules, as I came to UK in dec-2010 and with new rules I was unable to combined my living as PBS dependent and therefore need to cover additional 05 years so I do not want any further trouble in my life.

Please advise

Your wife can claim child benefit in her name without it affecting your future visa applications.
