Inviting mother & mother-in-law, help needed

Hi, I am looking to invite my mother and mother-in-law from Pakistan. I have a few questions.

1. Shall I used family visit visa for both applicants? or General visitor visa for mother-in-law?
2. Shall I write one sponsor letter and put both of their names or separate sponsor letters?

I beleive its only one category now for the visit visa
I would prefer seperate sponcer letter mate but also write the covering letter explaining the purpose of the visit
