Council Tax - Tier 4 - Visa Ending Oct

Hello,

My course ended in May 2015 and Visa expires on 31st Oct 2015, I am planning to return to my country in September immediately after my graduation ceremony, although I have not received any notice from the council so far, I would like to know am if I liable to pay council tax for the period between May (end of course) to September (period stayed till)-(4 months), I am living in a off-campus accommodation, and there were 3 other students, all of us had our own with individual contracts for our rooms, I am not working anywhere, and for the past 2 months I am living alone since most of my housemates have shifted to new places. Kindly let me know, it's too much to afford at this time, when you are retiring with other expenses.
