Spanish Work Permit for a Non-EU Citizen: How Realistic?

Post by SophieM » Tue Aug 11, 2015 11:10 am

Hi guys! :)
I want to move to Spain (Barcelona) and am now looking for a job (Yes, I'm well aware of the unemployment level and all) Since I'm not an EU citizen, I'm worried about the work permit the most. Say I will secure a job offer (talking to employers now), is it realistic to get a work permit approved? I know that it's an employer who initiates the process, just wondering if it's realistic to get it, and whether or not it can be turned down by the authorities without even looking? Can there be problems with a work visa?
Does anyone have recent experiences to share? Thanks!
