Complicated Visa question

I am Australian living in UK, currently working for a UK company. I am on a Youth mobility visa until October 2016
My partner is Italian. We have been together for 2 years (1 year in Australia before moving here together)
We have been discussing the options for our next move and confusing ourselves along the way.

Firstly, I would like to stay in the UK beyond my current visa. We are looking at getting married soon but our initial research looks like I can't apply for a spouse visa in Italy unless we are married and living in Italy for 2 years (or abroad for 3 years). We won't meet that criteria by the time my visa is up.

Are there any options that could help us to be together in the UK. My company does not do sponsor visa so this is not an option.

Assuming your partner is 'exercising his Treaty rights' in the UK, before your current visa expires you could apply for an EEA Family Permit as an extended family member. You would need to submit evidence of a 'durable relationship' akin to marriage.
