help with my appeal please

Post by JUK » Fri Sep 28, 2007 3:43 pm

Hi
I have been living in the UK since September 2000 with a student visa which i renewed every year up to 2004, and then i got 2 years student visa which expired in October 2006. When i applied to renew my visa for the following year, my application was refused on the grounds of:
- My sponser doesn't seem to have enough money to sponser me in the UK.
-I was sent a letter during the process of my application in which i was asked to provide the home office with my bank statements, but they didn't hear from me.

I have changed my sponser and provided the home office with my new sponsor's bank statements.

in my appeal, i did explain that i didn't receive the letter stated in the refusal letter and also, i do not hold an account in the UK anymore as i don't need one. my sponser does give me a certain amount of money every month and i also live with him.

Do you think there is a chance of getting the visa still???

You don't need a bank account in the UK? Don't you think the Home Office would find that a little odd? Especially as you are asking them for a visa to stay here.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

Issue is not your bank account here, but you need to satisfy HO that you have sufficient funds to continue your studies
