My British partner and I have met through SingleMuslim.com since April 2013 and we started as close friends and evolved into a relationship after we met in February 2014, since then we have seen each other three times (all short visits from 4 to 5 days each). We decided we want to get married. Our plan is get married next January and apply for a settlement visa a week after, we also plan to hold the ceremony for that wedding once I make it to the UK.
and our list of documents to support genuinity of relationship is as follows:
1. Marriage certificate
2. SingleMuslim.com chat history
3. Viber/WhatsApp/Skype chat history which 2 and a half years long
4. Photos taken together
5. Visas my partner got every time she visited me
6. Cover letters from us both of stating everything I mentioned
7. Our bank statments show money going back and forth
I was reading throughout posts here and I just cant help but have a feeling that our arrangement might be a source of scrutiny regarding the genuinity of relationship because of short time spent together overall, lack of wedding ceremony and minimal proof family involvement.
Regarding other aspects of our application; we do meet financial requirement, and we plan on renting an apartment very soon.
So my question is should we consider taking the fiance route instead because I assume it would be easier to prove that we are genuine?
