Overstayed student seeiking Spouse Visa

Post by awesomeadil » Thu Oct 04, 2007 7:53 pm

Hi,

I overstayed on my student Visa for a couple of years as I lost my passport and was issued a Temporary Passport from Consulate of India in B'ham.. I was in a relationship with my now wife since 2003 and I left in 2006. When I left I wasnt questioned at all. My wife came to India to get married to me, after it was done, I made an application in Chennai couple of days ago... I enclosed Pics of us together, marriage certifcates, my old passport photocopy and other sundries like my mobile bills in India where I made like 100's of texts every month....

Do you think it would be a problem in the processing of my application??

Chow

if u submitted the right document and pray the ECO dealing with ur case is a favourable one.

if u r called 4 an interview make sure u tell them that u take the full responsibility of u overstaying and dont give him a sad or stupid story. make sure u r consistent in wot ever u say and make sure u have memorised wot u filled out in the VAF-2 form asu will be asked the same questions in a twisted way and 4 all u know the ECO may have seen ur application and pretended he/she has not seen it b/4 hand and make u chicken up and sometimes thay may have not even seen it all. either way be honest, truthful and consistent. and just a quick one they always want u to give the exact date of answer they want from u even if u cannot remember the date just make sure u r not 2 nervous, when they are typing the ur answers as u speak they also make assessment at the same time.

hope it helps

GOOD LUCK
