Residence permit in Germany and dependent visa in UK

Hi,

My wife is currently working in Germany and has a work/residence permit till end of 2016. I plan to take up a job in UK and my wife plans to apply for a dependent visa in UK. Considering she gets the dependent visa, following are my queries

1. Would the German residence permit be valid while she has a UK dependent Visa?
2. Would it be legal (in UK) for my wife to work in Germany while she has a valid UK dependent visa ?
