Tier 2 Experienced Rate

Post by nasmc92 » Wed Sep 23, 2015 11:48 am

Hello Guys,

at the time of Tier 2 extension my employer should mention experienced rate as per the updated SOC.

if you apply extension before your current leave expire you can still work even visa is in process.

now if I apply visa by post before my current leave expire. it might take 2-3 months that I will get the results back so at the time of applying although my employer will mention experienced rate on certificate of sponsorship.

the only confusion is that will I get start getting the experienced rate once I will get the extension result or employer has to start paying me the experienced before applying the extension application

Please can someone explain

thanks

It is safer if your employer starts paying you the experienced rate before applying for the extension application

However, your employer should obviously start paying you the experienced rate from the new start date on your COS - even if your extension application is in progress.
