Hello,
I know this topic has been discussed before but I need your advice please. I have been living in the UK for about 4 years now on a Tier 2 General Visa.
1.Searching through the forum posts I came across a number of threads about family visitor visas, where it was mentioned that the person inviting thef amily visitor "must be a permamnent resident". I know this has been the case before but I cannot find it mentioned anywhere on the current rules. Is that still the case? (any reference would be really great)
2. I have already filled in the application forms for my in mother-in-law and father-in-law, and paid the fees for the (FAMILY) LONG TERM VISITOR VISA (1 YEAR) - 324 GBP per applicant. Here is my main concern, have I choosen the wrong visa category (instead of standard/general visitor)? If yes, does this impact the visa decision (resulting in a refusal) or I will just have paid alot more (about 500 pounds for 2 applicants) and they will still be considered for a standard visit visa, although a very expensive one?
Many thanks in advance,
Rev
PS: they are applying in Turkey
