Income Support has increased, now I'm worried.

Post by Bunny82 » Sun Oct 04, 2015 3:12 pm

So, after processing a joint claim with Tax Credits for my bf (overstayer) and I, DWP called me as I claim Income Support and took my new change of circumstances.

I CLEARLY told them that I couldn't have my claim affected because my partner is 'subject to immigration control'.

Just checked my bank, and my most recent payment (a few days ago) has increased by about £80 (about £40 per week - I'm given it fortnightly).

Now what do I do? I'm going to call them tomorrow, but how can I get this properly reversed so that it doesn't affect his future applications? If they reverse it, will it show that so that HO know that it wasn't deliberately claimed & that it was paid back (almost) immediately?

It won't effect as you think because it's their mistake and only once its been paid
