French Nationality

Hello everyone,

I have a question. My wife is elegible to get a French nationality because her mother is a french citizen now. We are from India and hold indian passport.

About eight months ago my wife hs send all the documents for getting french nationality to Le Conseil d'Etat. Since then we haven't got any notification of what stage the processing is in. I tried to call french consulate in NY(I work in NY) to get some information but they are also not helping.

I am now confused as now and not sure if the document have really reached at Le Conseil d'Etat. Actually when I send the mail I also send ask for a acknoledgement letter which I have received but I don't have the acknoledgement letter now.

Can any one advice me how should I proceed. Do you think I should contact a lawyer and resubmit it again. What would be best way to approcah this.
