Income threshold for getting PR

Post by hari1234 » Wed Oct 07, 2015 6:16 pm

I have some queries regarding income threshold for applying permanent application.

I had applied Tier 2 visa (Senior sous Chef in branded restaurant) on 3rd April 2011. The home office got my application on 4th April 2011 i.e. before the new rules was introduced on 6th April 2011.
The visa was granted on 23rd June 2011. So five years will be completed on 22nd of June 2016 but I will be eligible to apply for PR on or after 27th of May 2016.

So my concern is about the income threshold applied for me to get PR. Currently my occupation is on shortage occupation list. It was on the shortage occupatin list when it was applied for the first time on 2011.

As I found the documents of home office the income threshold will not be applied for those whose visa was granted under the rules which was on or before 5th April 2011.

Could you please advise me and make it clear regarding the income threshold applied in my case for appliyng PR on that time?

Your line of questions doesn't appear to sit with your history as stated.

You are talking about PR (permanent residence - a la EU rules) and income thresholds in the same breath;
what do you think is the connection between them?

Are you an EEA national?
Are you on the EU 'free movement' immigration path?

There is no income requirement under EU rules. Viva free movement.

Or are you truly on UK Immigration path on a Tier x visa? (In which case PR per se is not for you).
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.
