Hi sorry if this has been posted before but I am a bit unsure. FIrstly, my wife who is a Ukraine national and I British national, are applying for the EEA route in Ireland. However she has two visa rejections on her passport from UK the first one being for a family visit visa and although I sponsored her they rejected it because she doesn't have any financial proof of her job even though I sponsored her. Second, was again for the family visit visa this time she made a mistake when it asked her if she has been rejected before she put no as she misread it and additionally they also said as she is married to me we should really apply for a spousal visa and recommended this to us. Would this have a negative impact on the Short Stay Visa?
Also second and last question is that reading through the Irish site i noticed this: If you are granted a short stay ‘C’ visa on the basis of the Directive and are joining an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen who is exercising free movement rights in the State you are advised to ensure that, on arrival in the State, you have proof of the EU/EEA/Swiss citizens residence in the State in your possession for production on request to the Immigration Official at the port of entry.
I was wondering if anyone could elaborate on this none of the embassy staff seem able to help me.
Thank you for any help and sorry for the long winded post!
