CoS and VISA related question.

Hi,

Need a suggestion:

I got a CoS starting 10-Aug-2015 for next one year, however could not travel on it though I got the VISA which is now not valid. Said that, if I apply for a new visa now, can I request a new CoS which aligns with my new travel and visa dates? Please suggest.
